1:1 Vibro-Acoustic Sound Healing at The Yoga Yurt

This one-to-one treatment uses the therapeutic power of vibration and sound to support both body and mind.
Specially tuned Himalayan singing bowls are placed directly on the body and gently played, sending sound waves through muscles, tissues, and energy pathways.
This encourages deep relaxation, reduces stress, supports circulation, and helps release stored tension.

Each session follows a meridian-based sequence and is adapted to your individual needs.
As the vibrations settle, brainwave activity shifts into restorative Alpha and Theta states — the same states linked with meditation, healing, and improved mental clarity.

Sessions can be particularly helpful if you are experiencing stress, anxiety, fatigue,
sleep difficulties, or simply want to give your body the opportunity to deeply rest and reset.

Nestled in the serene beauty of The Yoga Yurt, each treatment offers a sanctuary of stillness and care.
Surrounded by natural calm, it’s the perfect setting to rest, restore, and experience
the therapeutic power of sound and vibration in a truly nurturing space.

‘It was my first time trying sound healing, and I left feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed, as if a weight had been lifted. I had a sense of calm and clarity which stayed with me long after the session.’

Experience a full-body reset that is calming, restorative, and deeply nurturing.
Using sound and vibration, this soothing therapy brings harmony to the body, mind, and spirit.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax fully. Soft, loose layers are ideal — no need to change into anything special.
Avoid clothes with buttons, metal clasps, belts etc.

  • No — this is not a massage. Vibro-acoustic and sound healing sessions are non-touch therapies, using the singing bowls on the body s that sound and vibration can support deep relaxation and energetic balance.

  • Each session is tailored to your needs. You’re welcome to share any areas of focus, such as stress relief, sleep support, or emotional release, before we begin.

  • Sessions take place at The Yoga Yurt, a calm and welcoming space designed to support rest and inner stillness.

  • Vibro-Acoustic Massage, which involves placing bowls directly on the body, isn’t recommended during pregnancy. A non-contact Sound Bath can be offered instead — a gentle and soothing way to relax safely.

Extra care is advised during the first trimester, as your body is naturally adjusting to many changes.

  • Even one session can be deeply restorative, though regular sessions can help maintain balance and support long-term wellbeing.

  • Yes — sound healing complements yoga, meditation, bodywork, and many holistic or medical treatments beautifully.

  • Everyone experiences sound healing differently. You may feel vibrations moving through your body, waves of warmth or tingling, or a deep sense of peace and stillness.

  • This treatment is also not recommended for individuals with the following conditions:

    • Pregnancy – especially during the first trimester (avoid direct-on-body vibration).

    • Pacemakers or implanted electronic devices – vibration may interfere with their function.

    • Recent surgery, fractures, or open wounds – vibration can disrupt healing tissue.

    • Thrombosis, blood clots, or serious circulatory conditions – vibration could dislodge a clot.

    • Severe osteoporosis – risk of discomfort or bone sensitivity.

    • Active infections, fever, or acute inflammation – body needs rest and recovery.

    • Epilepsy or seizure disorders – certain sound frequencies may be overstimulating.

Use with caution / seek medical advice before booking:

    • Heart conditions or low/high blood pressure

    • Cancer (especially during active treatment)

    • Metal implants, pins, or plates

    • Severe mental health conditions (e.g. psychosis)

    Safe alternative options:

For those with any of the above conditions, a non-contact Sound Bath or sound healing session using bowls around the body only can often be a gentle and suitable alternative.
