Tucked away in the peaceful hills of Holmsted Himalayas in Cuckfield, our 24ft handcrafted yurt sits quietly overlooking the ancient woodland of West Sussex. Surrounded by open skies and birdsong, it offers a place to pause — to practise, restore, and simply be.
More than just a studio, The Yoga Yurt is a small but vibrant community hub — a space where yoga, sound, and heartfelt connection come together. It’s a place for teachers, facilitators, and hosts to share their offerings;
for people to gather in warmth, creativity, and care.

Facilities
The Yoga Yurt offers a beautifully equipped space designed for ease, comfort, and connection with nature.
Spacious 24ft hand-crafted yurt studio – a light-filled, calming space perfect for yoga, movement, workshops, and gatherings.
Full use of yoga props – including 14 mats, 14 bolsters, 15 blankets, 30 bricks, 14 eye pillows, and 14 yoga belts.
Heating, lighting & Wi-Fi – everything you need for comfort and convenience.
Toilet facilities on site – modern amenities for your peace of mind.
Onsite Car parking – available in the main Holmsted car park.
A basket of logs – for a warm, welcoming atmosphere during your sessions.
Optional additions, such as the use of a treatment tent or other equipment, can be discussed to suit your event.

Hire Options (Saturday / Sunday)

Full Day Hire – £250 (10:00–18:00)
Enjoy exclusive use of The Yoga Yurt for a full day. Ideal for immersive retreats, trainings, or events.
Half Day Hire – £125 (10:00–14:00 or 14:00–18:00)
Perfect for shorter workshops, classes, or creative sessions.
Bespoke Events & Experiences – Price on Request
For fully tailored events, retreats, or wellness experiences, we can create a package to suit your vision.

Notes:
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date.
Set-up and clear-down time must be included within your booking.

Next to The Yoga Yurt sits The Clover Tent — our tranquil massage and therapy space run by our wonderful neighbour, Kate.
You’re welcome to book it for your therapist to offer treatments as an add-on to your event or private hire.
The Clover Tent is also available for private hire by holistic practitioners offering Reiki, massage, sound therapy, or other healing practices. It’s a serene, nature-inspired space designed to support your work and enhance the healing experience — complete with a massage couch, electrics, and heating for comfort year-round.
Perfect for 1:1 sessions, small groups, or individual treatments, The Clover Tent offers a peaceful setting that inspires connection and calm.

The Clover Tent
A tranquil setting for holistic healing and connection.
The Yoga Yurt sits within the beautiful Holmsted Himalayas, a tranquil countryside retreat that blends comfort, connection, and the great outdoors. The site features 10 spacious bell tents and a large communal tent, creating the perfect setting for group stays, yoga retreats, or celebrations.
Holmsted Himalayas can accommodate private bookings for up to 50 guests, offering a relaxed and natural space for family gatherings, weekend getaways, or special events in nature.

A peaceful camping site for private hire and group stays.
Just steps from the Yoga Yurt, our beautiful outdoor wellness space includes a hand-built wood-fired sauna, cold water plunge, wild swimming pond and a large safari tent chill-out area – the perfect setting for relaxation, connection, and restoration.
SAUNA YOKU offers:
• Public sauna sessions (weekends & selected evenings)
• Private group bookings
• Seasonal sauna experiences including guided sessions, ceremonies and moon rituals
• Collaboration opportunities with practitioners & facilitators

Sauna Yoku
Sauna and outdoor wellness space.
For those hosting a retreat, workshop, or private event at the Yoga Yurt, our Swimming Pond adds a unique outdoor experience. Set among reed beds and wildlife, it’s perfect for a refreshing dip, cold-water therapy, or simply relaxing by the water between sessions.
The pond is naturally cleaned by the reeds and tested regularly, but swimming is at your own risk — a safe and memorable addition to your day in nature.
